Remove the text if not necessary.Chali Mbewe \u2013 Hambayi has been an Advocate with the National Prosecution Authority(NPA) for 16 years and has specialized in the prosecution of Sexual and Gender Based Violence. She currently heads the Gender based Crimes department, a position she has held since 2016. Her area of particular interest is child sexual abuse and she has ably presented cases in the Supreme Court of Zambia defending the rights of children and holding perpetrators accountable for their crimes. She believes the prosecution service has a key role to play in the fight against gender based violence and has taken a keen and active role in ensuring that the NPA  works with other stakeholders in ensuring that victims of crime receive holistic and adequate redress. In ensuring that a multi sectorial approach is taken she created the first ever multi-disciplinary team committees in the management of gender based violence, which have rolled out to 14 districts in the Country. These teams have been key in ensuring that important actors coordinate in the management of gender base violence cases.\n\nChali Mbewe- Hambayi has been instrumental in collaboration with co-operating partners in developing the first ever Prosecutors Handbook on Sexual Violence, among other achievements.
