The investigator investigates the report by obtaining physical evidence and speaking with witnesses to ascertain  if there is likely cause to effect an arrest. Depending on the complexity of the case, the investigation could take some time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The investigator will keep the victim of crime or the complainant updated throughout their investigation.
