He announced that, \u201cContinuous<br>Professional Development (CPD)<br>Points would soon be mandatory for renewing practicing licences and that the Annual Prosecutors\u2019 conference would count towards those points. &#8220;This conference now forms part of the CPD framework,&#8221; he declared,<br>&#8220;recognising the vital role prosecutors play in our justice system and the need for ongoing professional growth.<br>Consider this our investment in you, because when prosecutors grow stronger, Zambia&#8217;s justice system also grows stronger.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The significant announcement came during Mr. Zulu\u2019s opening address at the Third Annual National Prosecutors\u2019 Conference.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mr. Zulu further highlighted the unique position that National Prosecution Authority prosecutors hold in the Association, noting that \u201cNPA lawyers form the largest constituent of LAZ membership\u201d which is a clear indicator of their numerical and professional significance in Zambia\u2019s legal landscape.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He praised NPA prosecutors for their integrity by turning down bribes and upholding justice. \u201cYou occupy a special place in our justice system,\u201d he told attendees. \u201cWhen you maintain ethical standards and resist undue influence, you don\u2019t just secure convictions, you uphold the very foundation of public trust in our legal institutions.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Lusaka | 11 Aug, 2025 \u2013 In a major boost for Zambia\u2019s prosecutors, the Law Association of Zambia (LAZ) President, Mr. Lungisani Zulu, dropped game-changing news.
