Isoka, Chinsali, Mbala, Senanga | November 2025 \u2014 The National Prosecution Authority (NPA), working together with the Sexual Reproductive and Health Rights Trust (SAT), has continued pushing its community-based fight against gender-based violence by extending its GBV legal framework trainings to Isoka in Muchinga Province, Chinsali and Mbala in the Northern Province and Senanga in Western Province. The new sessions build on earlier work carried out in Chipata and Chama.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The trainings brought together a wide group of frontline responders, police officers, health workers, social welfare staff, media personnel and others who often serve as the first point of contact for survivors.
The initiative aims to create a unified front by ensuring all stakeholders share a common understanding of GBV case management, referral pathways, and survivor support services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Isoka, Chinsali and Mbala sessions were led by Mr. Samuel Simwaka, Deputy Chief State Advocate for Northern Province, alongside Ms. Juliet Kabwe from the NPA office in Ndola. Meanwhile, in Senanga, facilitation was conducted by Mr. Chipola James Bako, Deputy Chief State Advocate for Lusaka Province, with support from Mr. Job Simango from NPA headquarters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With six districts now trained across different provinces, the NPA is steadily putting together a stronger and more coordinated network of local response teams. The Authority says this district-level training model will continue in other areas as part of a long-term national effort to improve support for survivors and reduce GBV at community level.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
